Natural, Safe, and Sustainable Pollination Starts Here.
Support biodiversity and healthier gardens with the help of these amazing little pollinators.
Mason bees are very valuable specialist pollinators of native and cultivated fruit trees such as apples, cherries, almonds and related plants in the rose family, plus berries and few other crops. These bees will forage for pollen mainly on flowers when they are available, but may visit a much wider variety of flowers for nectar. These bees are only active for about 2 months in mid-spring. They will not pollinate mid-summer vegetables.
Mason Bees can be introduced to your yard as cocoons. 10 cocoons will give your yard a good head start for the coming season. Cocoons need to be stored properly until put outdoors and then placed in emergence shelters or houses that are predator proof.
Why Mason Bees?
Unlike honeybees, mason bees are solitary specialists. They emerge in mid-spring, foraging primarily for pollen from flowering fruit trees and a variety of native plants. Their short 2-month activity period makes them excellent for early-season pollination, giving your garden and orchard a powerful head start.
