June is Perennial Gardening Month! Let us be your gardening partner to build a colourful perennial border. Summer hours are now in effect.
Are you a foodie who loves to try growing new plants, then you should try the Italian fig. This long lived tree will produce large greenish fruit with sweet light amber flesh in a couple of years and as you continue to nurture your plant, expect the volume of the harvest to grow.
Think about growing citrus when you think about growing your fig tree. It likes bright light when grown outside for the summer but must be brought in before temps dip below 12 deg C as we head towards fall. When indoors, grow in a bright indirect light locale. Water consitently but do not keep wet.
