A symbol of good luck and prosperity, the Braided Money Tree is a gorgeous indoor tree that can grow up to eight feet tall. It likes bright indirect light and allow to dry between waterings but water deeply when you do. As this specimen is braided, you will want to continue braiding as it grows. To encourage the plant to grow taller, you will repot every 2 years into a pot that is 1-2 inches wider in diameter than its current one. To braid, wait until you have a t least 3-5 healthy shoots of at least 12 -14inches in length, then you will gently start to French plait the stems over each other and continue until you have at least 4 inches of plant at the top which will remain untouched. Secure the braid with a coir wire, and then place 2 stakes on either side of the main stem to encourage the plant to grow straight. Be careful handling the leaves as they are delicate when doing this process.
