Farming has always been our shared passion, so when we decided to ‘go all in’ and ‘make something happen’, we settled on growing a tomato that tastes like ‘summer’, yet available from April to November. Thus our farm vision was realized with the construction of our hydroponic greenhouse and farm store located just north of Hwy 401 in Kingston, Ontario, back in 2002.
We learned quickly that we needed to give our visitors more reasons to ‘stop’ and so we added more greenhouse space to grow top quality annuals and perennials for the home gardener.
Today, Sun Harvest has become the home of Kingston’s favourite tomatoes and the leading garden centre destination in the region. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience for our visitors by delivering on our promise of the freshest, tastiest greenhouse and farm fresh produce and sharing our love of plants with gardeners of all types.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Early Winter Houseplant care:
Check plants weekly, and stick your forefinger 1 inch deep into the soil, if dry, provide a deep watering. Yes, that means a trip to the kitchen sink and watering with non -softened water till the water is draining through the pot drain holes, allow to sit for 15 minutes. Now is NOT the time to fertilize. Return to your pretty pot and give your plant a 45 degree turn, just so that it will grow balanced as it greets each sunny winter day. Check again in another week, repeat.
Soon we will be overwhelmed by the smell of tomatoes, that fresh, and oh so immediate scent that spring is coming with our hands stained with chlorophyll from all of the pruning and clipping and the promise of that first pick of 2020. We will be growing several new varieties to grace your plate and tease your tastebuds this year. Can't Wait!!
