Japanese Beetles are voracious eaters and these beetles start to show in the garden  in June and eat everything from birch tree leaves, to raspberries, rose of sharon leaves to zinnias.

Now that they are no longer flying, they have laid their eggs to pupate for the winter.  . The larvae of Japanese beetles otherwise known as lawn grubs, if left unchecked willl continue to grow, survive and change to flying beetles next June to commence their destrucitve cycle again.  Lawn Grubs are the larval stage of  Japanese Beetles, May / June beetles  and European Chafers.

But you can go after Japanese Beetle larvae by applying a product known as Lawn Guardian NOW.   By watering in nematodes at this time of the year, you can reduce the population of these larvae for next spring.  Nematodes are part of the product called Lawn Guardian which consists of beneficial nematodes that are microscopic worms which are native to Canada. Lawn Guardian is a mix of two nematodes, one that is close to the surface and one that travels deeper. NIC nematodes are isolated Canadian Strains that are Produced by NIC in Ontario, on a live host. They are fresher, more keyed to Canadian pests and 100% organic.
