Seed Starting BASICS - A seminar presented by LJ Stephens WEST COAST SEEDS - Sat March 1st 10:30 am

So you want to grow your own food and flowers but are a little intimidated to get started?   Join us for a Seed Starting Basics seminar on Saturday March 1st here at Sun Harvest. LJ Stephens from West Coast Seeds, herself a market gardener,  will be here to share tips and tricks so that you can achieve success with seeding and produce top notch transplants to plant in your gardens. 

In addition, LJ will lead you through a hands on session of planting varieties from seed so that you can 'get your hands dirty' and take some new garden babies home in biodegradable seed starting pots.

• what seeds to grow
• when to seed
• what seeds to start indoors
• when to sow direct outdoors
• soil, lighting and watering
• getting your babies out to their final home out in the garden
